Covid-19's Impact on MRW 2020

As the outbreak of the epidemic virus has been growing rapidly worldwide, many governments have made every effort to overcome the pandemic virus by discouraging public gatherings, closing schools and public places and suspending international flights. These may cause travel restrictions and inconveniences to the conference participants. In accordance with the public health policy taking into account the ongoing and developing situation with COVID -19, the decision has been made to postpone the MRW 2020. The conference will therefore not take place as originally scheduled, during May 18-21, 2020.

Our plan at this time is to reschedule the conference for either at the turn of August and September 2020 or September and October 2020. A decision on the choice of these two possible dates will be made soon (we expect it within one month), and the firm dates will be posted here once the decision has been made.

The deadline for early registration is shifted till June 15, and the deadline for uploading final camera-ready papers is now April 24. If the COVID-19 situation does not allow us to hold the event during either of those dates and the conference be cancelled those papers approved for publication will be available through IEEE Xplore anyway. Hopefully this will not become necessary.

We would like also encourage all authors to send extended versions of their papers to any of the planned special issues: of IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, MPDI Sensors and MPDI Remote Sensing or URSI Radio Science. Each attendee of the MRW-2020 will get a 20% discount on publication in a Special Issues of MPDI journals.

Please continue to monitor this website for updates.

We will continue to monitor official travel advisories related to COVID-19 and update the conference date to keep you informed. We hope that the situation will improve soon. Thank you for understanding this difficult situation and hard decision.

Sincerely yours,

MRW 2020 Organizers
